The Earlab is a computationally oriented experimental laboratory. We are interested in the encoding of auditory information in the cerebral cortex and brainstem. The ferret (Mustela putorius) serves as our system model.
Through both chronic implants and acute penetrations, we obtain electrophysiological data from awake animals in order to investigate the reponse properties and functional organization of the auditory system.
